Ruby, a 23-year-old young woman from Aaloo Nagar, Lucknow, comes from a family facing extreme financial hardship. With five school-going siblings, a father working as a mechanic, and a mother managing the household, there is only one earning member in the family. Meeting daily expenses and educational needs has always been a struggle.

Despite the challenges, Ruby always had a deep interest in cooking. She wanted to learn a skill that could help her earn and support her father financially. Her life began to change when she joined a Free Culinary Skill Training Workshop.

During the workshop, Ruby learned to prepare 25 different dishes using jackfruit—a discovery that truly amazed her. The training not only expanded her culinary knowledge but also showed her how a simple ingredient could open doors to livelihood opportunities.

After completing the workshop, Ruby started preparing and delivering homemade food items to customers. Today, she earns her own income, contributes to her family’s expenses, and takes pride in the happiness and satisfaction of her customers.
